"SO GET UP" (the most remixed vocal in musical history)

Information regarding the iconic 1992 vocal acapella song by Greek-American songwriter and interdisciplinary artist Ithaka Darin Pappas (Ithaka). As of 2025, this example of lyrical mastery has been remixed over 800 times. In 1994, a hit remix was made by an acid house project from Underground Sound of Lisbon (DJ Vibe, Rui da Silva) and presented as a 100% Portuguese project with absolutely no mention of its creator Ithaka...now considered one of the biggest musical coverups since Milli Vanilli.

DJ VIBE (DJ MAG) "So Get Up"

The former Underground Sound of Lisbon producer (with Rui Da Silva) - who had a huge club hit with 'So Get Up' (featuring original vocals and lyrics by renowned California songwriter, Ithaka Darin Pappas) in the mid-'90s - is currently excited about Logic 8 and Serato, with the digital music controller changing not just the way he buys music but also the way he programmes his sets. He matches Serato with three CDJs, Cycloops and the FX1000 to get truly creative in the mix, all of which suits his big room sound.
Those rooms have been as big as Twilo Miami for the WMC and Lux in Lisbon's 8th anniversary party - "One of the best parties in the last year".

Talented German production team Township Rebellion has long been heavily influenced by the poetry of California poet/vocalist, Ithaka (Ithaka Darin Pappas)
enough in fact to revisit his iconic his iconic 1993 vocal poem, So Get Up, originally recorded in Manchester England. This new version was released by Stil Vor Talent (Germany)
